IDS-MES: Study Abroad
Students are strongly encouraged to participate in study abroad programs sponsored by UF or other universities. Information about these programs may be obtained in the Study Abroad Services office in the UF International Center (UFIC) located in 170 HUB.
Some courses taken abroad may be applied toward your major coursework if approved by the advisor or the IDS committee. The study abroad program selected should be in a country where the language studied by the student is spoken. If unable to participate in study abroad program, students may choose to complete the Capstone Experience requirement through internship in an organization that enables them to practice the chosen language and/or fits their selected area of study.
Prior approval of all internships is required.
