Under the auspices of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, the CES is proud to present Gordon Adam. Mr. Gordon Adam served as a Labour Party Member of the European Parliament (MEP) between 1979 and 2004. As a MEP he was the President of the Joint Parliamentary Accession Committee for Lithuania and has served on the Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Industry and Energy Committees of the European Parliament. For 11 years Mr. Adam served as a budget spokesman for energy and research issues at the European Parliament. As a parliamentarian, Mr. Adam participated in European Parliament (EP) delegation visits to Russia, Ukraine, South East Asia, Korea and Central Asia, as well as EP study tours to the Baltic States, Serbia, Croatia, Romania, and Bulgaria.
