Dr. Dickison is Associate Dean in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences where her areas of responsibility include: curriculum, academic programs, SACS reviews, the undergraduate catalog and scholarships. She serves as the College liaison with the General Education Council and the Undergraduate Advising Council. Previously, Dr. Dickison had directed the UF Honors program for over 10 years. During her tenure as director, Dr. Dickison oversaw the building of the Honors Residential College at Hume Hall in 2002, development of a comprehensive prestigious scholarships support and guidance program for students, development and administration of the Lombardi Scholarship Program, implementation of a database for research opportunities called the Undergraduate Research Database, and numerous other programs and initiatives to enhance the experience of all students on campus. Sheila Dickison has received a number of awards for her support of students, including the Mort Wolfson Award and the Blue Key Distinguished Faculty Award.
