The content of the required course is 100% European Union related. Each EUSP minor-seeking student needs to take one required course. The EU content of the core course is anywhere between 50-99% and the EU content of an enhanced course is anywhere between 20-49%.

I do not want to take too many "core" classes because I know that we only need to complete two core courses for the minor.
Technically you should take at least two core courses and three enhanced for the minor (one core and two enhanced for the EUSP certificate) in addition to the required course. However, you can actually take five core classes and zero enhanced; it is always preferable that you take classes that are more focused on the EU.

Do I have to take only EUS-designated classes for them to count towards the EUSP minor or is it ok to take their cross-listed counterparts?
Any course that appears on EUSP curriculum counts for the EUSP minor even though it will appear on the transcript as, for example, CPO 4104. It is NOT important for a course to have EUS designation to count for the minor; what is crucial is its EU-related content.

I went on ISIS to check my EUSP status and not all of the courses that I took towards the EUSP minor were showing up.
Due to high number of special topics courses on the EUSP Curriculum (i.e. EUS 3930 or POS 4931), it is not possible to find a satisfactory solution for the online audit. The best way to find out your minor/certificate status is by sending an email to Brano Kovalcik (branoko@ces.ufl.edu). The CES is currently working to develop its own tracking system on the EUSP website. More details coming soon.

A maximum of six credits may be double-counted with a major/minor.

If a course requires a prerequisite such as "3 credits of EUS or Instructor's permission," will I be dropped automatically by the Registrar's office after drop/add if I previously did not complete EUS course with 3 credits?
Instructor's permission is enough to assure you a seat in the EUS class even after drop/add - The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) will not automatically drop a student; it would first contact the department to confirm.

I saw on the Course Schedule page in the European Studies section that an EUS 3930 is offered. However, this course is not listed on the EUSP course listing. Will this course still count for EUSP minor credit?
Not all EUS 3930 or EUS 4930 courses automatically count towards the EUSP Minor; the content of the given section has to be European Union-related. As a general rule, it is not enough for a course to be Europe-related. The course has to have at least 20% of its content devoted to the European Union. This is one of the major contributing factors to the incomplete nature of online audit on ISIS.

Do I have to participate in CES-supported study abroad programs (Brussels, Krakow/Wroclaw, Prague, Salzburg) only or can I fulfill my capstone requirement at any other European Union-related program?
As long as the courses in non-CES study abroad programs contribute to a better understanding of the European Union (20% of the course has to be devoted to EU-related issues), then such programs are ok. However, students are responsible for submitting all the relevant materials on the non-CES study abroad program to the CES for further evaluation (a petition, a statement of how the course is/was EU related, summary of EU content, full contact information for the instructor of the course, final paper—if applicable). For more information, please see “Acceptance of credits from non-CES study abroad programs”.

Students pursuing the EUSP Minor may complete an appropriate internship in exchange for an approved EUSP Study Abroad Program. To be approved for the EUSP Minor, the internship must be relevant to some aspect of the European Union. Students are expected to arrange their own internships. For more information, please read the description of the Internship program.
