Grants for Undergraduate Students
The Center for European Studies (CES) at the University of Florida announces a competition for Study Abroad Travel Grants. All UF students selected to participate in a CES-affiliated study abroad program (Brussels, Krakow/Wroclaw, Prague, Salzburg) are eligible to apply. One $500 grant will be awarded to each program.
Interested students should submit the following
- Application form which can be picked up in 3324 Turlington Hall or downloaded from here
- A brief essay describing the value of the program for the student’s course of study
- One letter of recommendation (must be from a UF faculty member or Graduate Assistant)
- Unofficial UF transcript.
Completed applications, including all of the above, must be turned in to the CES main office in 3324 Turlington Hall, PO Box 117342 by 5:00pm on February 29, 2008.
The CES is unable to provide travel advances. Award winners will be reimbursed for their expenses upon their return provided they have followed the CES travel reimbursement procedure available in 3324 TUR and at http://www.ces.ufl.edu/TravelReimbursementProcedure.pdf. We cannot under any circumstances make exceptions to this procedure.
