Summer Jobs with Florida Fair Share
Florida Fair Share is a citizen-based non-profit advocacy organization that works to provide every American with a fair shot at a good job, a secure future and a strong voice in our democracy.
Right now, we are working to ensure that we have a fairer economy in this country, one where fewer Americans are unemployed, and tax breaks and government subsidies to the most powerful special interests are kept in check. We know that right now, we can create jobs by investing in infrastructure, such as clean energy and high speed rail, and create a fairer economy by closing some of the worst corporate tax loopholes.
We are NOW HIRING for our office in West Palm Beach to work on these projects. We're looking for people who work hard, communicate well, and are committed to positive social change. Job hours are from 1:45pm to 10:00pm, Monday through Friday. The heart of the job is canvassing neighborhoods to build membership and fundraise, raising awareness about economic justice issues, and staff also participate in campaign projects and attend workshops and trainings. Every day, each one of our staff talk to about forty people, and sign up new members. Additionally, we do petitioning, media work, and coalition work, which helps us win campaigns! Average pay for the summer is $4000-$6000 dollars. We offer the best candidates the opportunity to be a Field Manager in Training - you can earn more in these leadership positions on the campaign.
To apply: email your résumé to Heather Kryczka, Campaign Director, or call (630) 544-9977.
