Application Instructions

Application Deadlines

Application deadlines for CES Study Abroad programs vary:

  • Summer Scholarships administered by the UF International Center (UFIC): February 5, 2010
  • CES Scholarship: February 26, 2010

Applications are considered on space-available basis, so please apply early. Please apply online at the UF Study Abroad Services website.

Eligibility

UF and non-UF students who:

  • Have a 2.75 GPA
  • Open to all majors
  • Must submit one letter of recommendation, an essay, and recent "unofficial" transcript

Academic Credits

All CES programs are UF-sponsored programs. Credits from courses taken can satisfy major, minor, elective and university requirements. UF GPA credit will be granted for the courses taken with UF faculty. Transfer credit will be earned for any courses taught by local instructors.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

University of Florida students needing financial aid should apply through UF Student Financial Affairs (SFA). Non-UF students needing financial aid must apply to their home institutions.

Partial scholarships for UF students are available on a competitive basis through the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Honors program, as well as the International Center and the Center for European Studies.

Study Abroad Travel Grants

The Center for European Studies (CES) at the University of Florida announces a competition for Study Abroad Travel Grants. All UF students selected to participate in a CES-affiliated Study Abroad Program (Brussels, Istanbul, Kraków/Wrocław, Prague, Salzburg) are eligible to apply. Up to four $500 grants will be awarded.
